BUILDING
STRONGER
COMMUNITIES

THE DENBURY CHARITABLE FUND IS COMMITTED TO LEAVING A LONG-LASTING POSITIVE LEGACY IN OUR COMMUNITY. WE SUPPORT THE MOST VULNERABLE AND THOSE CHARITIES AND CAUSES THAT HELP IMPROVE SOCIAL COHESION AND CREATE STRONGER SOCIETIES.

Over the years we are proud to have worked with many charities and partners to support major projects which provide help to the most vulnerable members of our society.

These projects range from helping young people find a safe space to socialise, learn and seek support in Lowestoft and Bury St Edmunds to supporting the redevelopment of the SouthGen hospital into a buzzing community hub and café. We’ve also helped a charity working to support women and grow friendships and confidence through gardening projects and funded a mobile youth centre.

Through our work with the county Community Foundations, our contacts in the community and relationships with charities, we understand the most pressing needs in society. We’re proud to work with the charities and organisations we do, helping to design projects that will make a tangible difference to the lives of many.

SouthGen Hospital

The hospital was central to the life of the community and a source of great pride. It was built entirely through community subscriptions and even after its nationalisation by the NHS in 1948, the community continued to raise money to pay for new facilities and equipment.
