Current vacancies

Formerly known as Hopkins & Moore, Denbury Homes has been building and selling quality new homes across East Anglia for almost 40 years. With a new head office in Bury St Edmunds, and a passionate, collaborative team focused on growth, we are now looking for an experienced Sales Consultant to work across our developments in Suffolk.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience selling new homes for another developer and be comfortable taking the sole responsibility of running a sales office. The role will involve selling new homes, guiding purchasers through the house buying journey from reservation to completion, always ensuring excellent customer service.

Applicants must have outstanding communication skills, be IT literate and have a working knowledge of MS Office, CRM systems and COINS. The expectation is to drive up to an hour to work so own transport and a UK driving license is essential.

The role is for Thursday to Monday working 9.45am to 5pm.

Benefits include a competitive salary, mileage, commission on a per plot basis, and a bonus scheme. Upon completion of a probationary period, enrolment company pension scheme, life insurance and healthcare. Commission also applies on a per plot basis.

Responsible To

· Land Director and to generally assist with any secretarial and administrative requirements of the Development Team (Planning, Design and Technical) together with undertaking and assisting with other general office duties.

Candidate Requirements

· The ability to get on with people together with excellent communication skills for dealing with a multi-disciplined team

· The ability to recognise problems and deal with them in a speedy and efficient manner

· Self-motivated, enthusiastic, flexible and reliable

· Pro-active and able to work on own initiative

· Methodical and well organised

· To be able to work as part of a team

· Polite and good telephone manner

· Appreciation of confidentiality and being discrete where required

· Good knowledge of Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel (and Powerpoint & Publisher although not essential)

Job responsibilities

· General departmental matters:

o Management and organisation of filing systems

o Arranging meetings and minute taking – e.g. Inception, Green Light, Key Date, Design Team

o General secretarial duties – e.g. typing, photocopying, binding, electronic copying

o Provide and arrange refreshments and food for meetings as required

o Assist as necessary in organising corporate entertaining and in-house social events

o Arranging execution of documents i.e. Section agreements, legal documents etc., and couriers as required

o Invoices – maintaining Strategic land records and assisting with other departments requirements

o Cheque requests and recording thereof

o Open space transfers (onsite inspection/handover reports)

o Occasional other duties that may reasonably be required in line with your main duties

· Planning & Design matters:

o Where applicable assist with pre-application consultation and community engagement matters e.g. mail drops, Councillor letters etc

o Assist with the collation of planning application packs

o Checking LA committee dates, agendas, minutes

o Where applicable assist with collation of Appeal packs as necessary

o Assist design department with production of materials excel schedules

o Covenant consents

o S106 trigger and payment monitoring

o CIL instalments payment

· Affordable Housing matters:

o Assisting as required with the preparation of handover information

· Technical matters:

o Arrange postal addresses

o Register MPAN’s etc for new developments and advise site & sales

o Monitoring Leasehold property database and co-ordinating handover to agents as appropriate

o Management of Trust properties

o Issuing drawings to site

· General office duties:

o Answering ‘overflow’ calls from main switchboard at desk

o Franking and packaging of post on a rota basis

o Assistant to Land Director
