Our Campaigns

We are proud to support the War Memorials Trust every year in their important work of restoring and preserving these powerful symbols of human sacrifice that exist in our towns and villages. As we look towards building vibrant communities throughout East Anglia, it’s important for us to pay our respects to the heroes of the past and the freedoms they earned us.

It’s a part of the country with a strong military heritage and proudly displays over 3,000 memorial sites. From beautiful centrepieces that adorn town and village centres to humble airfield plaques.

To ensure that they all continue their legacy in the condition they deserve, we donate £10,000 every year to the War Memorials Trust. Their tireless work has protected and restored memorials in Huntingdon and Walsoken in Cambridgeshire, Sudbury, Beccles and Brandeston in Suffolk, and Hanworth and Beeston in Norfolk. There are many more to come.

In helping communities conserve memorials across East Anglia, the generous donation is ensuring the sacrifices made by so many in the region are never forgotten.

The hospital was central to the life of the community and a source of great pride. It was built entirely through community subscriptions and even after its nationalisation by the NHS in 1948, the community continued to raise money to pay for new facilities and equipment.
