Join the celebrations on Saturday, 23rd May, from 11am to 3pm, as Denbury Homes opens a new playground at its flagship St Edmunds Gate development in Bury St Edmunds.
The play area will open at 11am with a ceremonial ribbon cutting. There will be free pizza available along with sweet treats, balloon models, face-painting, and goodie bags to add to the excitement.
Marking an important milestone for the growing community, the new play area has been created for young residents of St Edmunds Gate and families in the surrounding area, providing a dedicated space for outdoor play and social interaction.

With so many families already living at St Edmunds Gate, as well as in the surrounding area, we wanted to mark the occasion and provide a high-quality play space for children to enjoy.”
The park has been fully funded by Denbury Homes for the community and delivered by their appointed design partner, Miracle Design & Play. Miracle Design & Play has worked in collaboration with Denbury Homes since 2022 when the housebuilder completed its first development. Together, they have created a playground for St Edmunds Gate that goes beyond the planning requirements and exceeds expectations, providing an area to support active, imaginative play in a safe and welcoming environment.
The play area has been designed to appeal to children aged 1 to 12, ensuring a wide range of engaging opportunities for families. It features a variety of equipment, including a roundabout, spring rider, see-saw, double-bay swing with a toddler seat, inclusive basket swing, natural fallen logs, play boulders and a multi-play unit, combining traditional play elements with natural features.

The space has been carefully designed to create a vibrant and engaging environment that complements the surrounding area, while providing meaningful play opportunities that families can enjoy and take pride in for years to come.
