Halloween house hunting at Denbury Homes’ Monarch Rise development

Prospective homebuyers are invited to join Denbury Homes for a Halloween event at its Monarch Rise development in Layer de la Haye, Essex (CO2 0JA), on Saturday 31 October, from 1pm – 4pm.

Set in the heart of the Essex countryside, Monarch Rise is a picturesque collection of 70 thoughtfully designed homes, comprising of two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom houses, alongside three-bedroom bungalows.

During the Halloween event, visitors will have the opportunity to explore a selection of available homes, including the impressive four-bedroom house, The Woodcock, which will be decorated for the occasion. Children can take part in a Halloween-themed sticker hunt around the house, with a bag of sweets waiting for those who find them all. Adults can enjoy a glass of Champagne or soft drink.

Two further homes will be available to view, including the spacious four-bedroom house, The Whimbrel, which offers over 1744 square feet of living space. Visitors can also explore The Swift, a beautifully designed three-bedroom bungalow offering versatile, single-storey living.

Monarch Rise has been thoughtfully planned and a thriving community is already developing. Layer de la Haye offers a peaceful countryside setting but is just 10 minutes away from Colchester. With Abberton Reservoir on the doorstep, residents can enjoy nature trails, outdoor activities and birdwatching.

Within the development itself, Denbury Homes has carefully planned new pedestrian and cycle routes to enhance public rights of way and improve connections with neighbouring developments. Families can also enjoy a new play area, designed to feel like a natural space, with materials selected to reflect the surrounding landscape.

Monty Beaton, Head of Sales & Marketing at Denbury Homes, said: “We are delighted to be hosting our first Halloween event at Monarch Rise, offering a fun afternoon for families while allowing prospective buyers to explore some of the homes available.

“With a range of house styles and layouts to discover, including our spacious bungalows, visitors can get a real feel for the quality, space and attention to detail that goes into every Denbury home.

“Monarch Rise is already becoming a thriving community, and we are proud of the contribution the development is making to the local area. Alongside the new homes and green spaces, our Section 106 contributions of over £525,000 will help support local services and facilities, benefiting both new and existing residents.

“We hope the event will encourage visitors to come along, enjoy the Halloween activities and perhaps discover a home that is just right for them.”
