Regional five-star rated HBF housebuilder, Denbury Homes, has teamed up with Shrublands Football Club in Gorleston, Great Yarmouth, to sponsor the Under 13’s team’s training jacket for the upcoming season.
Founded in 1988, Shrublands FC is grassroots, FA Charter Standard football club at the heart of the local community, providing opportunities for young players and a clear pathway into adult football. The club introduces children aged three to five through its Saturday morning Mini Shrubs Soccer School, which focuses on developing core skills through play, while supporting social and motor development.
The club runs mixed youth teams from under-7s through to under-15s, competing in the Norfolk and Suffolk Youth League and the Norfolk Women’s and Girls’ Football League. Known locally as ‘The Shrubs’, the club supports around 200 junior members, helping young players enjoy football, develop their abilities and become part of a welcoming, community-focused team.
Shrublands FC offers a complete football pathway, with three men’s teams competing in the Anglian Combination, Lowestoft & District League and Norfolk & Suffolk Veterans League, alongside a women’s team playing in the Norfolk Women & Girls’ Football League. Through its inclusive approach, the club continues to play a central role in the community, providing opportunities for players of all ages and abilities.
Denbury Homes which opened a new development, Trinity Rise in Ormesby St Margaret in January, has supplied a training jacket for the Under 13’s mixed team.
Kurt from Shrubland’s football club said: “This sponsorship will make a huge difference to our youth teams this season and we are incredibly grateful to Denbury Homes for supporting football in our community.”
Monty Beaton, Head of Sales and Marketing at Denbury Homes, shared: “We are delighted to support Shrublands FC by sponsoring the youth teams’ new warm-up kit.
