Current vacancies

We are actively looking to recruit a Site Manager for our forthcoming new build housing project at Alconbury (PE28).

With the site due to commence in August 2026; we are looking for someone to land on site in October 2026 to lead the delivery of this prestigious 178-unit scheme. Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager you will be responsible for delivering homes on time and to exceptional standards. You should be capable of managing a team and setting high standards of customer service and Health and Safety.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and coordination skills; and have the confidence to liaise with several stakeholders including suppliers, subcontractors, homeowners, neighbours, NHBC Inspectors and other Statutory personnel. You should have the ability to manage and motivate staff and take pride in the job. A good knowledge of the industry and current construction techniques; along with the current Building Regulations, NHBC standards and Health and Safety Legislation is essential.

Desirable skills/competencies
• SMSTS or SSSTS
• CSCS
• First aid
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role within the housebuilding industry
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Excellent knowledge of NHBC standards

Responsible To
ï‚· Technical Manager

Scope of Work
ï‚· Produce working drawing packages
ï‚· Produce and co-ordinate the required information to suit necessary deadlines as instructed by the Technical Manager
ï‚· Liaise with, advise and support other departments on technical matters
ï‚· Ensure that all information is available to the Construction and other relevant departments in accordance with the project programme by coordination with the Technical Administrator
ï‚· Liaise with consultants, suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the preparation of technical support information

Candidate Requirements
ï‚· Good technical knowledge of building construction
ï‚· At least four years relevant experience preferred
ï‚· Working knowledge of the latest Building Regulations, NHBC and associated legislation connected with the construction industry
ï‚· Team player with communication skills for dealing with multi-disciplined teams
ï‚· The ability to recognise problems and deal with them in a speedy and efficient manner
ï‚· Self-motivated and well organised
ï‚· Sound knowledge and experience of AutoCAD
ï‚· Previous residential housing experience at either developer or private practice

Job responsibilities
ï‚· The production of the technical package, including:
ï‚· CAD versions of site layouts
 House types – standard and bespoke
ï‚· Sub Structure Block Plans
ï‚· External works plan
ï‚· Conveyance plan
ï‚· Construction details
ï‚· Schedules
ï‚· Specifications (Construction, Finishing and Social Housing)
ï‚· Construction Area drawings as required (e.g. compound)
ï‚· Procure, check and co-ordinate:
ï‚· Soft Landscaping Designs
ï‚· Heating and Plumbing Layouts
ï‚· Ventilation Layouts
ï‚· Structural calculations/mark ups
ï‚· Check and co-ordinate all information prepared by suppliers and manufacturers to ensure compatibility with house type drawings
ï‚· Truss layouts
ï‚· Stair Graphs
ï‚· Kitchen Layouts
ï‚· Joist Layouts
ï‚· Ensure co-ordination with Engineering and Utility Information
ï‚· Ensure that all drawings/details meet with Local Authority/NHBC requirements
ï‚· Ensure all drawings are recorded on the drawing register and issued to relevant departments via Technical Administrator
ï‚· Preparation of Building Regulation/NHBC applications
ï‚· Manage and ensure prompt clearance of building control conditions
ï‚· Provide information and assist in the clearance of planning conditions
ï‚· Attend internal and external meetings regarding construction and technical matters and co-ordinating the preparation of the information required as a result
ï‚· Ensure that up to date legislation and requirements are included on the drawings and implemented on site as necessary
ï‚· Attend site meetings as and when required
ï‚· General liaison and co-ordination between other parties, both internal and external
ï‚· Respond to site queries and resolve technical/construction issues
ï‚· Instruct, obtain, and ensure drawing/specification co-ordination with SAP calculations
ï‚· Register Robust Details
ï‚· Assist with Social Housing handovers
ï‚· Instruct and co-ordinate Air Testing

Denbury Homes has been building and selling quality new homes across East Anglia for over 40 years. With their head office in Bury St Edmunds, and a passionate, collaborative team focused on growth, we are now looking for an experienced Sales Consultant to work across our development, initially at Abberton, nr Colchester.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience selling new homes for another developer and be comfortable taking the sole responsibility of running a sales office. The role will involve selling new homes, guiding purchasers through the house buying journey from reservation to completion, always ensuring excellent customer service.

Applicants must have outstanding communication skills, be IT literate and have a working knowledge of Office 365, CRM systems and COINs. The expectation is to drive up to an hour to work so own transport and a UK driving licence is essential.

The role is for Thursday to Monday working 9.45am to 5pm.

Benefits include a competitive salary, commission on a per plot basis, and a bonus scheme. Upon completion of a probationary period, enrolment into the company pension scheme and healthcare.
